Wedding Album
Wedding Album

Notes

Wedding Album was John's third solo album, third avant-garde album written and produced by John and Yoko, and a souvenir of their recent wedding. The album came as an elaborate box set, designed by John Kosh, containing sets of photos, drawings by John, a reproduction of the marriage certificate, a picture of a slice of wedding cake inside a white sleeve, and a booklet of press clippings about the couple.

The A-side, "John & Yoko", was recorded at Abbey Road Studios on April 22 and 27, 1969, and features John and Yoko shouting each other's name over the sound of their heartbeats.

The B-side, "Amsterdam", was recorded during their bed-in in Room 902, Hilton Hotel in Amsterdam, Netherlands from March 25 to 31, 1969. This includes interviews, conversations and four music segments, "John, John (Let's Hope For Peace)", "Goodbye Amsterdam Goodbye", "Bed Peace" and "Goodnight".

In 1997, Yoko released a remastered CD of Wedding Album via Rykodisc with three bonus tracks, "Who Has Seen The Wind", "Listen, The Snow Is Falling", "Don't Worry Kyoko (Mummy's Only Looking For A Hand In The Snow)", b-sides to "Instant Karma! (We All Shine On)", "Happy Xmas (War Is Over)" and "Cold Turkey" respectively.
