Live Peace In Toronto 1969

Live Peace In Toronto 1969

Notes

On September 13, 1969, John with his rushly formed new band, Plastic Ono Band, performed at the Varsity Stadium, Tonronto University. The performance was recorded and released as Live Peace In Toronto 1969 few months later.

On the previous date, still in England, John received a phone call from the organiser of Toronto Rock'n'Roll Revival, John Brower, whom invited John and Yoko to attend the concert the next day. John agreed if he and his band could play live at the event. However, as the Beatles had not played live concert in three years, John formed a new band with Eric Clapton, Klaus Voormann and Alan White, and played the concert.

The album was John's first live album and produced by John and Yoko. A re-mixed and re-mastered CD was released in 1995.
