Yellow Submarine

After three movies done with United Artists, there was still one movie stated in the contract had to be made. So when Al Brodax, producer of the Beatles Cartoon series, contacted the band about his idea making an animated long feature film, the Beatles said go for it. The story of Yellow Submarine starts with the lyrics line "In the time when I was born, live a man who sailed to sea..." and it is about the Beatles saving the Pepperland (like a paradise) to restore to its old beauty after invasion of the Blue Meanies, the enemies in the film. The Beatles supported the film by writing new songs and giving ideas to the film and even making an appearance at the end of the film. However, they left the project to the production team after the film was nearly completed, as the tension between the members of the band arose.
